Graphics Card: Having a video memory of at least 2 GB of video card of your host computer will increase the performance of guest machines. A minimum of 20 GB / a maximum of 50 GB of disk space will be sufficient for each VM. Disk: Disk size is automatically selected according to the type of operating system you will install, but you can change this value manually. RAM: A minimum of 4 GB of memory may be sufficient for virtual machines, but your host PC must have a minimum memory size of 8 GB. Processor: A processor with a minimum of 4 or 8 cores that supports virtualization technology is important for performance. However, we recommend you check the minimum hardware requirements on your physical computer from the list below. You can use the VirtualBox program most efficiently on a computer with an up-to-date Intel or AMD processor. However, by making the settings of virtual hardware devices properly, you both increase VM performance and do not put an extra load on your host computer. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers.You can easily install one of the Windows, Linux, or macOS platforms on the virtual machines you create. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely.
